Next Tex
Fashion Tech Showcase
As part of the Keyhouse innovations centre at Munich Fabric Start, Next Tex showcased groundbreaking products and prototypes in fashion tech, wearables and bio-fabrics.
Munich Fabric Start is one of Europe’s leading textiles trade fairs. Founded in 1996, it hosts over 1000 manufacturers from 40 countries, and attracts around 18 000 visitors. The biannual show presents a vast range of fabrics and accessories, from sportswear to haute couture. Dedicated to cutting edge technologies, the Keyhouse exhibits the latest innovations in the world of fashion and textiles.
Since 2017, Sqetch has curated and produced five editions of Next Tex. The interactive showcase not only featured an exhibition, but also workshops, lectures and seminars in conjunction with the exhibitors. Next Tex has covered a variety of topics including electronic textiles, virtual design, artificial intelligence as well as 100% natural dyes and fabrics. Hosting the launch of IndiDye: the revolutionary plant dyeing method using ultrasound technology, was a particularly notable highlight.
