Who are you?
What’s your mission?
To make the textile industry a cleaner industry and to enable small to medium designers and fashion makers to get access to sustainable materials.
Where are you located?
We are located in Berlin, Germany.
How did you start and when?
I founded Lebenskleidung with my friends and colleagues back in 2008 in India. It has been a nice journey since then and we have grown into a specialized business today.
What are your services/ products?
Being a wholesale fabric service, here at Lebenskleidung it is of course all about fabrics. When you design your collections, you can count on us to be your trusted external sourcing department. That basically means that you can get all our fabrics from stock from 1 meter onwards. We launch two collections a year – in Spring and Fall. Most of our fabrics are made of 100% GOTS-certified cotton, which we then turn with our production partners to make beautiful, durable fabrics. But we also carry many innovative materials such as Refibra™ or Tencel™, or our German made elbwolle™.
On top we offer our new Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) digital printing service, where we collect and print the orders in seven annual printing slots. We are able to offer you the best price and service starting at the sampling phase and printing from 10 meters per print onwards on many beautiful certified materials by combining print orders and fixed printing dates.
Who are your clients/ customers?
We work with small to medium fashion designers and fashion houses in more than 50 countries.
Who would you like to collaborate with?
We love to cater your material, fabric needs and demands and are always happy to learn about local fabric production processes and fabric innovation.
What do you want to achieve in the future?
We want to make the fashion industry greener and better and are always trying to be on the forefront of natural textile innovations.
